REST. RELAX. RENEW.

The most important investment you can make is toward your own well-being. Regular floating can play a big role in that. Its popularity is because it positively affects your health.

Investing in regular floating for mental clarity, to manage stress, to manage pain, and to maintain your self as a whole, might just become your new go-to for overall well-being.

Why soak in Epsom salt? Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulphate and has been used for centuries for its healing properties.

Sixty minutes in a float pod is a unique experience where you get the chance to completely relax your body and mind. While floating in skin temperature water, your goal should be to lose track of where your body ends and the water begins. By embracing the weightlessness feeling, you’ll be able to release all the tension stored in your muscles, allow your mind to rest like never before, and emerge with a euphoric afterglow that can last for days.

*Standard Float Sessions are 60 Minutes, booked in 90 minute blocks to allow time for showering and room cleaning. Feel free to inquire about longer sessions!*

There can be a bit of a learning curve, which is why it is recommended floating at least 3 times before deciding if this is your thing.

One float will certainly to bring deep relaxation, but it can take people a couple times to get used to the tank itself.

IS FLOATING A NEW AGE THING?

Floating has been around since the late 1950s, originally developed by Dr. John C. Lilly, with improved designs being discovered ever since.

He was interested in the effects of isolation on the human brain, and has since become one of the most effective therapies for overall wellness in our busy modern world.

Floating has multiple names: floatation therapy, sensory deprivation, isolation tanks, and R.E.S.T. (restricted environmental stimulation technique).

Floating regularly has numerous benefits, but is most widely known to relieve stress, relieve pain, recover from athletic performance, and for meditation.

It’s all about prevention. The better we feel, the better off we are.

FLOATING FOR STRESS RELIEF

Feel like you are on stress overload? Immerse yourself into the float pod to unplug from the commotion of the outside world.

The feeling of being weightless and cozy, with nothing to trigger your stress response, your nervous system down-regulates and naturally stops producing stress hormones.

Your muscles let go of all tension, your heart rate slows down, and anxious thoughts tend to melt away into waves of relaxation.

Since you’re not glued to your phone, in a conversation, or trying to solve the world’s problems, you get a chance to reset and get back to your baseline.

After your float, you’ll feel calm, collected and ready to face the world.

For the go-getters out there who think doing “nothing” for an hour is a waste of precious time…you’ll be surprised at how productive you can be once you’ve allowed yourself to fully de-stress!

FLOATING FOR PAIN

Weightlessness and reduced muscle tension? Yes, please! The Epsom salt in the water not only negates the effects of gravity, but also reduces swelling and inflammation in your joints, providing relief from chronic aches and stiffness. With the cause of your discomfort eased, your relaxed nervous system will begin releasing dopamine and endorphins, which act as your body’s natural painkillers. Many feel rejuvenated for days after each session!

FLOATING FOR MEDITATION

With the constant busyness of today’s world and life in general, being bombarded with social media and other outside stimuli, its no wonder most of us are on sensory overload a majority of the time.

Float pods are designed to take it all away. It truly is meditation made easy, by allowing you to enjoy the peaceful solitude with no distractions and in an environment that is warm, buoyant, and relaxing.

FLOATING FOR ATHLETES

Magnesium is an essential mineral for muscle recovery and soaking in the 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt (Magnesium Sulfate) helps improve muscle function, maintain electrolyte balance, and reduce fatigue.

FLOATING FOR SLEEP

To get a good nights sleep is arguably the most important marker for our health. The combination of magnesium absorption and unplugging from sensory inputs can help you sleep like a baby.

FLOATING WHILE PREGNANT

Floating is not only safe for pregnant women, but is highly encouraged! The weightlessness of floating provides physical and stress relief, but coupled with the Epsom salt’s anti-inflammatory properties, a float session can really ease the strain on a pregnant body. The quiet, stimulus-free environment is a beautiful opportunity to connect more closely with your baby as well.

FLOATING FOR SELF-CARE

Floating regularly is the optimum investment in self-care. It’s common for people to report having improved levels of patience, compassion, and acceptance for the people and circumstances around them as they are more aware on practicing their ability to stay calm and present. You, too, could be one of the many who have found more balance, joy, and inspiration in their lives through float therapy.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO FLOAT?

Swimwear is optional. Floating can be done in the nude, or in swimwear. We provide earplugs, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. We have a hair dryer in our bathroom for your use after the float. On the day of your float it is best to avoid shaving, and try not to eat a big meal or have caffeine within an hour or two of your float so that you can relax and rest comfortably.

Please arrive 10 min. before your float appointment time to de-stress, sign a waiver, and receive a walk-through and learn some helpful tips while floating.

IS THE FLOAT POD SANITARY?

The interior of a float tank is exceptionally sanitary. The float pod has 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved in the water, which raises the salinity to levels that are inhospitable to bacteria, including microbes and other pathogens. The solution is sterilized between each session through a process of commercial-grade circulation, and UV (Ultraviolet Light) and Ozone filtration & purification. The density of Epsom salt in the solution is so high that, much like the Dead Sea, bacteria and other nasties can’t survive. No harsh chemicals are used in the solution at the Float Room.
